Have you set up a myGov account recently?
myGov is a simple and secure way to access government services online and at myGov shopfronts.
If you have set up an account recently you will be aware that you have the ability to link your myGov account to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). What you may not know is that by linking your account to the ATO, all of your personal ATO correspondence will now come directly to your myGov inbox, rather than direct to Tactica Partners as the Tax Agent. This will include your Notice of Assessments, PAYG Instalments and any other correspondence the ATO may send.
As a general recommendation we think it would be best not to link your myGov account to the ATO. This will ensure that we still receive all your correspondence from the ATO which will enable us to check and validate the correctness of all your information including Notice of Assessments, PAYG Instalments and other important correspondence.
