Do you have unclaimed super?

The ATO have begun contacting approximately 80,000 individuals that they are holding unclaimed super money (USM).

You may receive an email or letter from the ATO advising that they are holding USM for you. If you are contacted you will be asked to claim the USM by transferring it to a preferred super account. The easiest way to do this is via a myGov account linked to the ATO. If you do not have a myGov account you will be asked to set one up.

The ATO currently holds unclaimed money for around 5.38 million accounts with a total value of $3.75 billion as at 30th June 2017. The ATO has a number of strategies aimed at reuniting individuals with their lost and unclaimed super.

If you receive an email or letter and require any assistance please do not hesitate to contact Toni Brunsgard of our office on 9387 5637.
