The Role
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you’ll:
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts and self-managed superannuation funds
- Provide management accounting reporting using XERO & Fathom software
- Manage compliance obligations including FBTand SMSF
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients
- Liaise with the ATO on audits, lodgements, and assessments
- Mentor and review work of junior accountants
- Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation, ensure compliance and CPD requirements
- Use accounting software such as Xero, Fathom, XPM, MYOB, BGL for SMSF’s and ATO portals effectively
- Manage day to day client relationships and run client meetings
About You
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CA/CPA qualified
- 8+ years’ experience in Australian tax accounting
- Strong technical knowledge of Div 7A, CGT, PSI, FBT, SMSF and trust structures
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proactive, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning
- Desire to grow the practice & the ability to attract new clients/business
